Follow the trailline above Lake Superior from the south of Duluth, Minnesota to the Canadian border. Trailhead parking lots are situated every 5-10 miles apart making this trail ideal for day hikes, backpacking, thru hiking, & trailrunning.

The Superior Hiking Trail Association builds, maintains, and manages the trail with the help of hundreds of volunteers. Volunteers are vital to keeping the trail maintained. Help with trail projects, be a naturalist or sweep on a guided hike, or adopt your own section of trail, a campsite, or a trailhead.
