Bally Creek Road to Grand Marais

Linking people with nature by footpath along Lake Superior's North Shore.

Length: 8.3 SouthNorth

The western half of this section is marked by a large beaver pond and Sundling Creek. The SHT passes through a large red pine forest before it joins the North Shore State Trail for 2 miles. Near Grand Marais the trail visits Sawtooth Bluff, with its beautiful vistas of Lake Superior. From west to east this is a particularly nice walk for novice hikers ready for a longer trek.
